Sofiya Ko Therapy & Wellness
Website redesign: information architecture, copy editing, accessibility, main user flow.
Project Overview
About Sofiya Ko Therapy & Wellness:
Sofiya Ko Therapy & Wellness is a private practice located in Seattle, WA that is re-opening its doors after a sabbatical. The practice provides arts therapy and wellness services, as well creative workshops and wants to re-launch its website on a quick timeline. The project goals include: re-evaluating site architecture, adjusting site copy to tailor to user needs, creating a clear main user flow and clear calls to actions, as well as conducting a heuristic analysis.

Project Duration:
3 months, ongoing
Planning Process:
As the first step of the project planning process, DAR UX met with the main stakeholder to discuss goals, priorities, the timeline and resources available to make the necessary adjustments to re-launch the website.
Out of this meeting, 4 clear levels of prioritization came out:
1
Information Architecture
Evaluating the way information is structured on the site, whether it is easy to find, and conducive to the main user flow.
2
Main User Flow
Is the user able to successfully navigate the main flow, taking that CTA and completin their goal?
3
Copy Editing
Evaluating how the copy is written, whether it adresses to the main user goals.
4
Accessibility
Design must be accessible.
As the next step, we conducted a live heuristic evaluation analysis of the site (at that moment in time) with the stakeholder to review various heuristic issues and their potential impact on the user. The issues were categorized by heuristic and by priority.
While there were no drastic Priority Zero issues to address, several P1-P3 issues were noted, and upon coming to agreement on the solutions for these, the stakeholder scheduled for the P1 key solutions and recommendations to be implemented by their internal team.
Over the course of the following 2 weeks, the stakeholder implemented the solutions DAR UX advised them on, such as incorporating CTAs that serve the main user flow, re-structuring information architecture of the site, revising the copy of the content to address user needs, and incorporating accessible design throughout the site.
Results
Upon making the above adjustments, the business owner was very happy with the final flow, look and feel of the site on which we collaborated. They shared that their client conversion rate has increased and clients were commenting on the ease of use and layout of the site.
"Working with Dariya helped elevate my business by creating a website experience that is both effective and aesthetically pleasing. Her strategy and suggestions transformed the look and feel of my site, which clients consistently affirm was a significant factor to pursuing my services as a counselor." - Sofiya Ko Wellness
